Brown's Buses Album
with thanks to David WOOLAM

David and Charles WOOLLAM have very kindly provided a lot of material from their family collections. May BROWN, wife of Reg, was their Aunt. As May outlived the BROWN brothers much of the history of Brown's Buses has passed down that line of the family. This page contains some of the images David has kindly semt me.

This page of the almbum contains images of vehicles outside the Scotia Road garage.

The bottom picture shows VT8024, an AEC Regal which was Brown's No. 17. New in 1932 it was withdrawn in 1947 being scrapped in Salford at the end of that year

CVT684 AEC Regent II with Duple B39F body as delivered new in 1936. This vehicle passed into the PMT fleet and became SN71.

Fleet No.11 (based on the written caption) was a Leyland LT II of 1931 registration VT6538, according to the PSV Circle's PMT and subsidiaries fleet list. Its disposal is not recorded, but these images indicate it was converted to a rather grand motorless caravan. The identity of the vehicle carrying fleet number 8 is not recorded in the fleet list and its registration number isn't visible in either image.
